I proudly present to you the wonders of the tropics where I could get lost for hours in the “back 40” we’d call it. Where Banana Papayas, guavas, apple bananas, Mangoes, and Lilikoi vines grew freely. Where Maile Pilau (an invasive plant) would attempted to take over, where wild heliconia sprung up freely, and where mosquitoes would come out to haunt me in the late afternoon. As a kid, this was just my playtime after we finished our yard work. Now looking back on these cherished memories years later, I am so grateful for these experiences and I’ve come to realize, the mysteries of the tropics have left a great impression on my artwork, jewelry and identity. ​
